Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, at Stavanger) is a Norwegian music producer and a singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is released in May of 2015 by Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. The singer has released a number of high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) and were widely appreciated. Katy Perry shared a tweet that Perry promoted her song Runaway. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft, and becoming intrigued by its sounds. Her parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a pastime, but for growth. She began to write writing her own songs. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an affinity for Bjork's style. Responding to her mother's suggestions that she ought not to aim to be famous through her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives and their impact on society. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She started making music at the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. The dream was never to turn into Aurora. She claims that she just enjoys writing songs. Music to her is the only method to experience anything.
