Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as the character Detective Diane Russell. She is also known for her performances on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive from the United Auto Workers who was also the mother of her children. Delaney has four older brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of becoming a reporter for the court. She began modelling at the age of 14 and later landed commercials when she moved from the south of England to New York. The role she was given was that of a young innocent in 1981's soap opera All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress who was in her 20s, appeared in a variety of TV films as well as dramas. Her personal life unlike her professional one has nt been a success and has not been happy. The accomplished actor has struggled with alcoholism and has had two failed marriages. The year 2005 was the time she lost custody of the sole child she had.
