Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay champion. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. She is the elder sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after winning a silver and bronze medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, and a gold medal in the year 2011, and the year-end 2016 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia has started her professional career in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016, the International Lion Fight Lightweight championships. It was also the WMC World Championships were held in 2016, and she was crowned the 2016 IFMA Amateur Thailand World Champion. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO, and then won two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and concentrated on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera using knees. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the unanimous decision, but she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi in an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight at UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
